The museum first opened in 1996 and has expanded considerably since then.  We were originally based near Kemnay, but took the decision in 2019 to move to a wonderful new permanent home in Banff - an old church on Seafield Street - which is a beautiful light space to display the toys and dollhouses at their absolute best.

We have over 350 dollshouses but also miniature displays, antique and modern toys & dolls, childhood memorabilia, collectables and much much more.

A visit is a unique experience, a magical, fun and educational treat for all ages.

School parties are very welcome.  There are activities for the children to do, various toys to play with and simple worksheets for 5-8 years.  Happy to tailor visits to any aspect of the curriculum.  Teachers are welcome to visit in advance.Pease call or contact any time.

Coach parties are welcome any time but please give notice prior to arrival, by calling/emailing.
